Can malwarebytes and avast run together2/20/2023 ![]() If you run CCleaner in default mode you will more than likely experience problems sooner or later. You should use neither, avast is basically spyware and MBAM has the lowest detection ratio out of any security product and the highest performance impact. The included automatic file checking, defrag or optimization and then YOU running disk cleanup and of course your browser history, cookies, etc cleanup, will suffice. I'd recommend either one of them because I've used both and they are good, uninstall one of them and you should be good to go. ![]() It comes together with your Malwarebytes antivirus software. It blocks ads and protects you against third-party trackers, malware, scams, and PUPs (potentially unwanted programs, e.g., browser hijackers). It is certainly unnecessary, as a system maintenance tool on 10. Malwarebytes Browser Guard is a free extension for Google Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge. ![]() I do not recommend CCleaner on 10 for the average user. I do not use malwarebytes on 10, as mentioned the earlier version is not compatible with 10 and I do not like the new version. If you then wish to support that with some scan on demand, such as my colleague Flavallee has mentioned he does, with the free Malwarebytes - the expired trial - in your case, then you may use that. It is free unobtrusive and the most important detail is that - it is always 100% compatible with Windows 10 and all its updates - 100% of the time. ![]() I recommend you use the included Windows defender ![]()
